SUCCESS (a Poem)

Success, something we all try to attain in life. A major distinguishing factor between one man and another. Success is not about how famous you are, neither is it about how much you have. It's about achieving a goal that's in accordance to God's will, doing something that will i9nfluence the life of others positively. Is it really worth it when it's gotten at the expense of your soul? Or if you can't explain how you achieved it? If your answer's 'NO", may GOD crown your effort with success. If it's 'YES', may GOD have mercy on you. Success, it's a gift from GOD to those HE love. A reward to those who seek HIM diligently. A prize to those who fall many times and yet rise up... Success is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of GOD that showeth mercy. Many say "the road to success is always under construction". I say "your road to success is already constructed" you just need God to l...

GOD’s PROMISES.

GOD’s PROMISES. In the last article, I wrote “ without faith , God’s promises have no basis or strong foundation in our lives ”. Take the story of the battle between the Israelites and the Amalekites for example;     ***Exodus 17:9-16   http://www.biblestudytools.com/kjv/exodus/passage.aspx?q=exodus+17:9-16 When Joshua told Moses the Amalekites wanted to fight against the Israelites, Moses wasn’t shaken, but he instead, out of faith, told Joshua to go with some men and fight against Amalek. Eventually, the Israelites defeated the Amalekites, and after their victory, God made to them a promise of “completely taking out the Amalekites.”…God didn’t give Moses the instruction of telling Joshua to take some men to fight against the Amalekites; neither did He tell Moses to go upthe mountain, holding the rod in his hand while they were fighting. But because Moses had faith (with the spirit of discernment) and he knew how faithful his God (our God) was (is), he was b...

FAITH

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.     Faith plays a significant role in our walk with God and the fulfillment of our destinies. This is so 'cos without faith, God's promises have no solid basis or foundation in our lives. Also, without faith in God, our will can't revolve around God's, and without this, it'll be impossible for our minds to have even a tiny conception of God's eternal glory and His will. Romans 10:17 says "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." And as we know, our mind processes information that comes through our ears. So unless our minds are(being) renewed to the mind of Christ, though the words come in, through our ears, they'll just sound like ordinary words. This is so because the sin nature is blocking the entrance of the words of faith. From this, you see that the result of what comes in through your ears depends on the level to which your mind has...

LIVING AT PEACE

In my 2nd article, I wrote "your definition of peace shouldn't necessarily be that no trials or harm would come your way, but having an assurance that no matter what comes your way, God will always be there to see you through. I know that at this point in time, living a life filled with peace is not that easy due to the economic crisis, natural disasters, terrorist attacks, increase in  all sorts of crime and other things like that. But as true believers that shouldn't bother us, because God said in Psalm 91, summarizing, that "we will live a long and peaceful life"  so it's up to us to believe it. Living a peaceful life isn't something that's gonna happen automatically when we get born-again, we have to pray for it daily, without ceasing because the evil, being the ruler of this world, constantly has his eyes on true believers because they are a threat to his kingdom. And because the devil knows that...   1John 4:4  ...greater is HE that is...

LIVING A LIFE OF PURPOSE OR LIVING A SUCCESFUL LIFE.2

A friend of mine listed "How to realize the plan of God for your life" on facebook, so I'll just shed some light on them as I list them out. 1.) YOU MUST BE SAVED. >>>>Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have come between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you, from hearing.   Of course, you should know that as long as you are living a life if sin, you can't have a relationship with God unless you repent. You wouldn't share your secrets with someone you barely have a relationship with, so how do you expect God to tell a sinner about His plans and purpose. DUH!!! 2.) YOU MUST BE FAITHFUL/ STEADFAST IN HIS WORK. >>>>John 15:15  No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master does. But I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.   Only those who are faithfully committed to doing God's work 'cos as you do so, an intimate ...
