Crown of Life
The Crown of Life
Zaphnath-Paaneah, whose first name was Joseph, depicted a
life of great fear and love for God irrespective of the circumstances, and what
men would have said or done.
By the way, Zaphnath-paaneah was the name given to Joseph on
assumption of power as second to pharaoh in Egypt.
Joseph at the end received a crown, he inherited the kingdom
of Egypt after going through so many unfavourable circumstances and temptations
(Genesis 39 vs 9-10).
Here are situations you can relate with (Genesis 37 Vs
23-28, 39 Vs 7-20) ;
Casting into a pit- have you been deliberately discriminated
for who you are or what you believe?...Joseph was.
Sold out- seems you have been dragged to a position or
situation that you don’t want to be?...Joseph was
Slavery- seems you are being owned, having no say even about
your life?...Joseph was
False accusation – seems that the whole world is falling
apart after managing to build a little comfort?...Joseph was.
Joseph was a man of like passion, a man who was able to be
tempted and go through trials, thrown here and there: seemingly as If he was
doomed for unfortunate events ( for those who love movies, guess you know
*series of unfortunate event*).
Blessed are we believers who endure temptation and
circumstances that makes us want to deny our faith.
James 1 Vs 12...blessed is the man who endures temptation;
for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord
has promised to those who love Him.
1 Peter 1 Vs 7....that the genuineness of your faith, being
much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honour and glory at the revelation of Jesus
Christ
It might be difficult, but it's not impossible; it might be
tasking but there is Grace for empowerment. Take each step in the staircase of
purpose ( knowing where you are heading to as Joseph did know his purpose)
By the Word and the Spirit(Prayer), trials and temptation
furnishes one to the end, producing perfected patience, a celebrated victory, a
transformed mind and a matured Christian- A Christian empowered by grace as he/she knows and believes it’s God who makes a way of escape, walking in the Love of God and in constant fellowship with the Holy Ghost.
This puts a crown on our walk with Him.
