James Bond... and you. (GOD's LOVE)

Image
That scene in every James Bond's movie, when James Bond shoots (probably at someone) and then blood covers the whole screen… notice he is seen through a lens.          You know, that’s how God sees every believer, under the blood of His Son Jesus Christ ( Ephesians 1:7 ).          Assume you were James bond, God saw you through the lens of Grace, it WAS your nature to sin, yet He loved you, He still does ( Romans 5:8 ). Because of His Love, He chose to see you through the lens of Grace, and erased your sinful past the moment you accepted Him( 2 Corinthians 5:17 ).           It’s a week to Good Friday; and we’ll celebrating Easter, perhaps you need to be reminded of what He’s done for you—You have become a New Creature in Him; you are the Righteousness of God in Him ( 2 Corinthians 5:21 ); nothing can separate you from the Love of God ( Romans 8:35-39 ); sin and death no longer have dominion over you and you have the power to dominate them ( Rom

Domination... Total Victory

Are your methods good enough to make you a dominator and not just a competitor?        From Daniel’s youth, he was known to be at least 10 times better than his peers all the days of His Life. ( Daniel 1:17,20 )        Likewise David, as recorded in the Bible, he never lost a battle; from his battle with a lion and a bear to his battles against kingdoms… He ever conquered.        What do these guys have in common? It was the uniqueness of their methods. Daniel and David both chose to set themselves apart from the world and not use their methods. Take David's fight against Goliath(1 Samuel ( 1 Samuel 17 ) for example; now imagine yourself in that scene. If you were watching a small shepherd boy, a seemingly inexperienced fighter, go up against a giant warrior feared by all you’d have said “That’s impossible”, right? But not for David. He overcame.           2 lessons you can learn from this short piece: -don’t ever think you’re too small to overcome any tas

PARADIGM SHIFT

Take a look at Numbers 20:3-5, where the Israelites were once again complaining about how they preferred their lives in Egypt... The same place they were living in bondage; yet they wanted to go back to labouring like the world instead of labouring like God's people "in Rest".        Now, majority of us can identify ourselves with that, though out of the world, we're still labouring like them, yet expecting great results.        John 17:14b and 1 John 3:1 say we are not of the world; they don't know us.   Since the world do not know us, it means they have no clue about how we should labour/ live our lives to ge the kind of results we should get as "Children of God". Yet we copy them; expecting to beat them at their game.       See, if you want to be the best; you have to labour in God's rest( through the Word and prayer), and not like the world.       We Christians should stop competing with the world, we're above the
