REST... IN CHRIST ALONE

Hebrews 3:19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
Here, God was referring to the OT Israelites who did not enter into God’s rest because of their unbelief.

          Fast forward to the NT; we Christians are New Creatures in Christ Jesus who have (or should have) entered into God’s rest ‘cos He did it all when He said “IT IS FINISHED” on the cross (Hebrews 4:3). But then, how come we don’t experience it tangibly? Imagine going into a supermarket, say Shoprite, and you just enter and then stand at a corner gazing at all the stuffs there. See, that’s how some (if not all) are, we’ve entered into God’s rest-through Christ- but we haven’t started experiencing it yet. Why? It’s because we are not communicating with God in line with His Will (Phlm 1:6, James 4:3).
          When Jesus said it is finished”, He gave us a blank cheque, not corporately, but individual, with no limitations whatsoever.  The thing now is that to cash it in, you need a PARADIGM SHIFT.

LIVING AT PEACE

   In my 2nd article, I wrote "your definition of peace shouldn't necessarily be that no trials or harm would come your way, but having an assurance that no matter what comes your way, God will always be there to see you through. I know that at this point in time, living a life filled with peace is not that easy due to the economic crisis, natural disasters, terrorist attacks, increase in  all sorts of crime and other things like that. But as true believers that shouldn't bother us, because God said in Psalm 91, summarizing, that "we will live a long and peaceful life"  so it's up to us to believe it. Living a peaceful life isn't something that's gonna happen automatically when we get born-again, we have to pray for it daily, without ceasing because the evil, being the ruler of this world, constantly has his eyes on true believers because they are a threat to his kingdom. Don't Awaken Love

"Don't awaken Love until it pleases" Three times was this statement made in the book of Songs of Solomon (SOS 2:7, 3:5, 8:4) and I believe that statement needs to be echoed louder in this generation. Welcome to my generation where we want a quick fix,  instant noodles,  fast food,  even Fast and the furious- on a lighter note.  Although the rate of getting somethings done can be accelerated, this doesn't apply to Love. In other words,  Love needs time. Like a butterfly, Love is an organism that metamorphises on its own as the Creator fashioned it to be,  and it develops with Patience There's been an increase in the rate at which break-ups and divorce cases occur and I strongly believe it's tied to this simple reason, we awaken Love too early.
