THE BURNING BUSH.

The burning bush, we all should know about this story. How Moses came across this bush in Horeb, the Mountain of God, while he was leading the flock to the desert.   Did this bush “not burn” because it was some kind of super-mutant fire-resistant bush? Nah, I don’t think so! It didn’t burn “because God was in the midst of the bush”. Exodus 3:4 “And Jehovah saw that he had turned aside to see. God called to him out of the midst of the thorn bush, and said, Moses! Moses! And he said, here I am . ”                 God took something ordinary, and made something “miraculously extra ordinary” out of it… That’s what He wants of us. Of course there must have been other bushes there, but this particular bush stood out; the same way God wants us to stand out from the world, to be the light of the world, a city set on the hill. But this won’t happen until you allow God to fully dwell in you and manifest Himself in and through you. And don’t think you’ve been too bad

WHO AM I? (A POEM)

“Who am I”, I asked myself, As I looked into the mirror staring at my image. Sometimes I see myself as a desolate city without walls. But HE says I‘m a fortified city with bronze walls. I see myself as a clay pot smashed into pieces, of no use, Yet HE says I’m a vessel of Honor, unto Glory. Many battles have I fought, but lost, Yet He says I’m more than a conqueror, an overcomer. Walking around with timidity, fear, low self-esteem, But HE says I’m bold, strong, and the Lion of Judah lives in me. Many call me ugly; even I was starting to agree with them, Yet HE says I’m beautiful, fearfully and wonderfully made. They say I’m worthless, hopeless, without a future, But He says I was worth dying for, destined for Greatness. Always flapping my wings to stay in the air, Yet HE says I’m an eagle, born to soar high up in the sky. Lonely, I live my life with barely any “friends”, Yet HE says HE’ll always be my Friend, His name is Emmanuel. Funny how HE

THE PRODIGAL SON

THE PRODIGAL SON… AND HIS BROTHER. (LUKE 15:11- 32)                 This is one story we’re all familiar with.   So without beating around the bush, I’ll just go straight to the point.                 The first son. Luke 15:12 “ And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that is coming to me . And he divided his living to them .” Luke 15 : 29   “ And answering he said to his father, Lo, these many years I have served you, neither did I transgress your commandment at any time. And yet you never gave me a kid so that I might make merry with my friends .”                 According to verse 12, the father divided his inheritance amongst his sons. But in verse 19, the first son complained that his father never gave him a young goat to share with his friends... the same son to whom was given a greater share of his father’s property. According to the whole story, the son didn’t ask, but he was expecting his father to give him. This is
