ASTROLOGY.

                The stars, one of God’s reasons for creating them was to give us light, physical light. But down through the ages, their purpose has been twisted, thanks to the astrologers. Astrologers of whom through darkened wisdom, came up with various star signs and their unique characteristics. Sadly, some of us believe those star signs, I used to. And I must say, it can be deceiving, very deceiving, ‘cause when you compare yourself to the characteristics of your star sign, you’ll see some correlation. There’s a bit of truth in it; but then isn’t that how the devil works, he covers a big lie with a thin layer of truth, misleading us. Or do you think astrology isn’t of the devil? If that’s what you think, read “Isaiah 47:13-14” and think again. If it wasn’t of the devil, why would God pronounce such judgment on astrologers and the rest?
Isaiah 47:13-14  You are exhausted by your many plans; now let the astrologers stand up and save you, the stargazers, making known what is coming on you into the new moons. Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame; there shall not be a coal to warm them; nor fire, to sit before it.
                Some people can’t do without checking their daily horoscopes, and stuffs like that, asking “people” what the future holds for them; instead of asking, looking up to God, the “Beginning and the End”, “The Creator of all things”. HE’s given us His Word to reveal to us the great things He has in store for us, yet some go to some silly astrologers, fortune tellers, “babalawos” and the likes, to see what the future holds for them. Isn’t Jeremiah 29:11 enough to convince you that God has great things in store for you?
                Some go through the daily horoscope to see how their day might turn out, and when the devil sees that they’re convinced, he twists their circumstance and make things turn out the way “they expect”. The more they believe it, the more they stray from their God-given destiny, into the wicked fate the devil has planned. Don’t be fooled, commit your day into God’s hands every single day” of your life, lest you become vulnerable to the devil’s evil plans and deceptions.                
                The devil is wise(in an evil way), he’s been here since the beginning of creation, so he probably studied creation and gave these “1% true, 99% false” deductions about people based on when they were born. Nevertheless, don’t be fooled by him. Don’t let some silly human being, daily horoscope, astrologer or some lesser god tell you how to live your life and how it will end. God, only God, should have that authority in your life; He created you, not some lesser god, or astrologer, or the devil. Ignore the characteristics your star sign gives about you, the characteristics you should have is that of God. Be patient, kind, not envious, not vain, not puffed up; not behaving indecently, not self-seeking, not easily provoked, thinking of no evil, not rejoicing in unrighteousness, but rejoicing in the truth; quietly covering all things, believing all things, hoping for all things, enduring all things-according to HIS Will; Never failing…. The characteristics of Divine Love. (1 Corinthians 13:1-13)

LIVING AT PEACE

   In my 2nd article, I wrote "your definition of peace shouldn't necessarily be that no trials or harm would come your way, but having an assurance that no matter what comes your way, God will always be there to see you through. I know that at this point in time, living a life filled with peace is not that easy due to the economic crisis, natural disasters, terrorist attacks, increase in  all sorts of crime and other things like that. But as true believers that shouldn't bother us, because God said in Psalm 91, summarizing, that "we will live a long and peaceful life"  so it's up to us to believe it. Living a peaceful life isn't something that's gonna happen automatically when we get born-again, we have to pray for it daily, without ceasing because the evil, being the ruler of this world, constantly has his eyes on true believers because they are a threat to his kingdom. Don't Awaken Love

"Don't awaken Love until it pleases" Three times was this statement made in the book of Songs of Solomon (SOS 2:7, 3:5, 8:4) and I believe that statement needs to be echoed louder in this generation. Welcome to my generation where we want a quick fix,  instant noodles,  fast food,  even Fast and the furious- on a lighter note.  Although the rate of getting somethings done can be accelerated, this doesn't apply to Love. In other words,  Love needs time. Like a butterfly, Love is an organism that metamorphises on its own as the Creator fashioned it to be,  and it develops with Patience There's been an increase in the rate at which break-ups and divorce cases occur and I strongly believe it's tied to this simple reason, we awaken Love too early.
