Don't be proud! Drop that burden

Image
Why take the staircase to the 100th floor when you can just take the elevator to the same? 1 Peter 5:6-7  Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. According to the scripture above,  one of the expressions of True Humility is trusting God and letting go of your burden, allowing Him turn the situation around for your good. Don't be deceived by thinking your problem is too small for God because He's got bigger things like war,  recession and the rest to handle. Uhun! He said He's got every hair on your head numbered and His thoughts towards you exceed the sand on the shore. Oh yes, your Creator,  your Father, is crazy about you and His Love for you is even Out of this world. So humble yourself, let go of that burden and let God work it out for your good and unto His Glory. In case it hasn't dawned on you,  it's actually pride for one to try to find,

The Blooda Reminder

Image
Every New Beginning begins with the end of a thing used to be done or the  inception of something never done. This is a reminder of the reason you made the most important decision in your life, it’s also to make you know if you don’t believe, but am sure you might have heard. #Jesus Christ A certain fellow called his brother “blooda” just to emphasize that he is a brother to him of the same parent and that there is a relationship that exist and extends beyond blood to life as he lives in a place where a lot of people among kin are referred to as brothers. BLOODA though sounds like brother, meanings can be attached to it complementarily but I wish you take Blooda in this text to be mutually exclusive. Psalm involved Blooda shows the blood of Jesus and the brother relationship with Him for those who believe. The blood that was shed for us, The blood that satisfies God, The blood that gives boldness. For by His blood we have access to the throne of Grace whe

BREAKING -up- FORTH

BREAKING  UP  FORTH So this is Deb’s guide to breaking up with…YOURSELF! And breaking forth like a boss… We all like to start the year feeling all light, free of baggage and wholesomely new; it’s why we pray all our enemies to death on New Year’s Eve, it’s why we wear new clothes on the first day of the year, it’s why we jump on the bandwagon of the stalest clichés “new year, new me” and the lot. courtesy:bitmoji We make resolutions and break them with the speed of light; but here’s a resolution I’ve made this year and I’d like you to join me on this journey. This year I’m breaking up with me. I’m breaking up with the thoughts and analysis and arguments roaming in my head which are contrary to God’s Word. I’m putting “self” to death and living life on a premium level with the Holy Spirit as my guide. One Scripture to aid this journey is of course II Corinthians 10:4-5. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling d

As you run your race... Pray!

Last time, you read about getting YOUR MESSAGE before you run YOUR RACE in 2017. But what next after that? If your answer is either “relax” or “run”, you’re definitely wrong… Its prayer. 1Kings 18:41-46 is a biblical account, about how Prophet Elijah, who had earlier prophesied there was going to be a drought, prayed for rain in the land and how the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah, and he outran the royal chariot of King Ahab. First let me ask you, what is the point of getting a vision from God at the beginning of the year if it doesn’t become a reality? Or what’s the point of a mother conceiving a child if she never births it? You have to run and birth for the vision to become a reality. Hence the need for this article. Back to Prophet Elijah, after he “heard” the sound, he went down on his knees, and prayed for seven hours until he saw a physical manifestation –i.e a cloud- of what he heard. In other words, he travailed until he brought forth a child (Isaiah

BEFORE YOU RUN THE RACE, GET THE MESSAGE.

2 Samuel 18:19-32 is a biblical account of two men, Ahimaaz the son of Zadok  and the Cushite, who were to report to King David concerning the death of his son, Absalom, after his rebellion. According to this account, although Ahimaaz had no news to report to the king he ran, disappointing the King, for David was expecting “good news” from the “good man” Ahimaaz (v.27). On the other hand was the Cushite who ran with a message to deliver to the King, although he arrived after Ahimaaz at the destination. It’s a New Year, Glory to God! And I’m pretty sure you’re energetic to run your race ahead, giving it all you got to emerge victoriously. But hey, hold on, before you run your race, what message has God given you to run with for the year and deliver to this generation? Or are you another Ahimaaz who’s just ready and energetic to run but has no message to deliver to this generation, a cloud without rain?
