BEFORE YOU RUN THE RACE, GET THE MESSAGE.

2 Samuel 18:19-32 is a biblical account of two men, Ahimaaz the son of Zadok  and the Cushite, who were to report to King David concerning the death of his son, Absalom, after his rebellion.

According to this account, although Ahimaaz had no news to report to the king he ran, disappointing the King, for David was expecting “good news” from the “good man” Ahimaaz (v.27). On the other hand was the Cushite who ran with a message to deliver to the King, although he arrived after Ahimaaz at the destination.

It’s a New Year, Glory to God! And I’m pretty sure you’re energetic to run your race ahead, giving it all you got to emerge victoriously. But hey, hold on, before you run your race, what message has God given you to run with for the year and deliver to this generation? Or are you another Ahimaaz who’s just ready and energetic to run but has no message to deliver to this generation, a cloud without rain? Selah

If you attend a good church, your pastor, or spiritual leader would most likely have given you a word for this season which is awesome, run with it. But even beyond that, you will do well to get a personal word from God concerning this season in your life.
Be a Cushite, BEFORE YOU RUN YOUR RACE, GET THE MESSAGE (v21), so you’ll bring refreshing to the soul of your master (Prov 25:13).

 Another thing about the Cushite was that he didn’t run to pursue his own agenda, but that of him who sent him.
This is not time to pursue your self- centered, need oriented, short sighted agenda or to build your little sand castle which will be washed away with the flood; but rather know God’s agenda, get His plan and BUILD ACCORDING TO THE ORDER HE SHOWS YOU as you run YOUR RACE on the path He’s prepared for you beforehand.

This is time to run and build WITH ETERNITY IN VIEW. Let every step you take in 2017 be Spirit-led, Love-motivated and with a Godly-intention... According to His Word
Everyday you wake up, bless God and receive His Mercies and the abundance of Grace he has made available. Run on his strength, ‘cos only then will you prevail and triumph always.

Finally,  let 2017 be by the Word.

God sees a great year ahead, do you?

LIVING AT PEACE

   In my 2nd article, I wrote "your definition of peace shouldn't necessarily be that no trials or harm would come your way, but having an assurance that no matter what comes your way, God will always be there to see you through. I know that at this point in time, living a life filled with peace is not that easy due to the economic crisis, natural disasters, terrorist attacks, increase in  all sorts of crime and other things like that. But as true believers that shouldn't bother us, because God said in Psalm 91, summarizing, that "we will live a long and peaceful life"  so it's up to us to believe it. Living a peaceful life isn't something that's gonna happen automatically when we get born-again, we have to pray for it daily, without ceasing because the evil, being the ruler of this world, constantly has his eyes on true believers because they are a threat to his kingdom. Don't Awaken Love

"Don't awaken Love until it pleases" Three times was this statement made in the book of Songs of Solomon (SOS 2:7, 3:5, 8:4) and I believe that statement needs to be echoed louder in this generation. Welcome to my generation where we want a quick fix,  instant noodles,  fast food,  even Fast and the furious- on a lighter note.  Although the rate of getting somethings done can be accelerated, this doesn't apply to Love. In other words,  Love needs time. Like a butterfly, Love is an organism that metamorphises on its own as the Creator fashioned it to be,  and it develops with Patience There's been an increase in the rate at which break-ups and divorce cases occur and I strongly believe it's tied to this simple reason, we awaken Love too early.
