ETERNAL LIFE (ZOE).

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

     When we got saved, at New Birth, we freely received Eternal life with which God recreated
our spirits, making us become new creatures in Christ Jesus. But it doesn’t stop there, that’s just the foundation (the salvation of our spirits).
 
John 17:3 says “ This is eternal life, that they may know you, the only True God, and Jesus
Christ whom thou hast sent.”
     From the verse above, you’ll see that Eternal life is also about knowing God, having
an experiential knowledge of who He is and having your identity in Him. So, better put,
ETERNAL LIFE is the nature of God which He released into our recreated spirits at New
Birth which enables us dominate the unsaved soul and body, and transform them in
salvation, consequently making us able to live with God now and for all ETERNITY in the
“FULNESS and LIKENESS of HIM”.
    What Eternal Life does to us is that:
    -it gradually renews our minds to the mind of Christ (John 1:4, Psalm 119:130 ) as we study, meditate on , and do His Word.
    -with a renewed mind (or one in the process) we can comprehend what the will of God is per time (as revealed in His Word through His Spirit) and the Life gives us the ability to over-ride the flesh and do His Will (Eph 5:17-18, Phlp 2:13)
     -with the nature of God in us, we have the ability to reproduce the characteristics of God, divine Love (1Corinthians 13), the first fruit of the recreated being (Gal 5:22, 1 John 3:14) and allow it govern our emotions so that we can like God, be compassionate and not moved by our emotions, doing what He would do in every situation.
     -it quickens our mortal bodies, and the more life of God at work in us, the more we can walk in the reality of reigning over sicknesses, diseases and the likes, even death. And like Jesus, when the life of God is sufficiently at work in us, we can easily influence the bodies and circumstances of others as well.(John 1:4, Mark 5:25-34)
     -it gives us back the ability to dominate all. (Genesis 1:27-30, Ephesians 1:20-21, 2:6)
The more measure of eternal life at work in us, the more of God’s Power deposited in us will be manifest through us. 

       See, God has already given us all the Power we need (The Power to become Sons of God: John 1:12-13), but the measure to which we the power will work in us is dependent on us (1John 4:4,Ehesians 3:20) and how much we are walking in Love -‘cause faith, the switch for power- worketh by Love. (Galatians 5:6)
          How then do you receive and grow in the manifestation of Eternal life?
   1. The first and major step is the New Birth, Believing in Jesus (John 3:16, John 4:14, John 6:35, 2Corinthians 5:17) to receive life; And also by boldly confessing that “In Jesus’ Name I have Life, I walk in the newness of life” as frequent as possible to keep stirring up the well or river of life in you, by the Spirit. (1 John 5:11-12, Romans 10:10, Romans 6:4-5, Philemon 1:6)
   2. the other steps are written in the Old Testament, though we are in the New Testament under The New Covenant and Better Promises, the same principle applies, as seen in Deut 30:19-20. We choose life or allow the Life to work in us by:
       Loving the Lord, Obeying His Voice, Holding fast to Him (seek His face).
       We are new creatures in Christ Jesus, we now have the Nature, the Life, of God in us which has made us as He is, and that not of our works, it’s a free gift. But it’s now up to us to allow the life of God to work in and through  us, to do that internal and Eternal work of Perfection in us, till we are totally
transfigured to who He is in His Fulness and Likeness. (Romans 6:23, Ephesians 3:19, 2Corinthians 3:18)
