PARABLE OF THE EAGLETS 3

Now we're left with 2 eaglets, and as the parable says, one surpassed the other in terms of strength and authority even though they both passed through the training stage... Let's go to the story of Noah and his three sons after the flood.

Gen9:21-25 “21 Then he drank of the wine and was drunk, and became uncovered in his tent. 22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.23 But Shem and Japheth took a garment, laid it on both their shoulders, and went backward and covered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were turned away, and they did not see their father's nakedness.24 So Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done to him.25 Then he said: "Cursed be Canaan; A servant of servants He shall be to his brethren."

Noah represents the eagle (which symbolizes our spiritual oversight), "Shem and Japheth and "Ham" represents the 2 eaglets (which symbolizes us). From the story, you read that Noah placed a curse on Ham and it came to pass. Though God could have intervened and revoke the curse because Ham wasn't the only one at fault for Noah was also at fault (giving himself to drunkenness), but instead, God took a step back and allowed the curse to fall on Ham. Ham's sin consisted in his failure to honor and respect his father; rather than covering Noah, he exposed Noah's shameful action. Had Ham covered his father's shameful act, all 3 sons would have been blessed, with Ham receiving the most blessings of all.

Proverbs 10:12 “Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins.” Now to the church, we know that this course/ sequence of event are very common in the church. Maybe our oversight wronged us in some way or the other and then GBAM!!! We have this malicious attitude towards them, looking for their flaws and all that; it might also rise from jealousy. When we have that kind of attitude towards them, no matter how much they try, God's message to us (or their covering) won't have a free passage (or full effect) into (or upon) our lives. No matter what position we are given, as long as we are under someone, even if it's the position of the assistant pastor we have to submit to their authority...
Romans 13:1” Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.”
… Not all so-called servants of God truly worship God, and if you figure out that yours isn't one, stop wasting your time and go find a true one. And if people are trying to pull you back just stand your ground and tell them "NO", because on judgment day they won't be around when you're being questioned.

We'll see in Numbers 12( you have to read this on your own)...Number 12:1,2,11,12 “1Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman.2 So they said, "Has the LORD indeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us also?" And the LORD heard it….11So Aaron said to Moses, "Oh, my lord! Please do not lay this sin on us, in which we have done foolishly and in which we have sinned.12 "Please do not let her be as one dead, whose flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb!"”...that Aaron and "MARIAM" questioned Moses’ authority out of jealousy. The sin of questioning Moses' authority was that they did not fear God or respect God's word through His prophet Moses. Though Miriam and Aaron were leaders in Israel, they had no right to challenge Moses' authority, and just as God showed them that they were not on the same level as Moses, we have no right to put ourselves on the same level as our oversight. Instead, when you see that your oversight has done something wrong just call them in private and have a heart-to-heart talk to them, it's not like any of us is perfect. Don't just talk to them, pray for them but pray for yourself first, it's not like you don't have your own flaws.

Matt 7:3-5 “3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?4  Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye'; and look, a plank is in your own eye?5  Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.”if he/she takes it the wrong way, just smile and leave the person's presence RESPECTFULLY.  So you see, in the end, it's perfect love, humility and total submission(amongst others) to God and those He put in authority over us that qualifies us for receiving a full inheritance and entry into God's exceeding glory. Hebrews 13:17 “Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.” Romans 9:17 “For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth".”

In conclusion, the curse of Noah was conditional for all concerned.  Any descendants of Ham who turned to God would also receive the blessings bestowed on Shem and Japheth, while any descendants of Shem and Japheth who departed from God would experience the curse bestowed on Ham.

PRAYER:  Dear Heavenly Father, I come before you to ask for your mercy, grace and strength to help me during this time of training as I grow from being an eaglet  to an eagle. Unveil my eyes O Lord, that I may see the path that leads to eternal life and not stray away. Please give me a meek and lowly heart that I may be humble and worthy of receiving a full reward in due time, In Jesus' name. AMEN!
