PARABLE OF THE EAGLETS 1

   There lived an eagle, she laid 4 eggs in her nest (high above the ground), all hatched and emerged as little eaglets. One day, while she was away to get some food for her eaglets, one of the eaglets stood at the tip of the nest and eventually fell to the ground.  Another grew weak and eventually died. The last 2 eaglets grew up and became mature eagles, but one surpassed the other in strength and authority. The mother eagle symbolizes our spiritual father/ oversight, while the nest symbolizes the church.

 As the parable says, one of the eaglets fell from the tree while standing at its tip. The eaglet stood at the tip admiring the wonders of the world and its worldly pleasures (covetousness) {remember the devil tried to tempt Jesus like this}. The eaglet got so engulfed in it to the extent that it fell from its nest, luckily it survived the fall. The eaglet should have stayed where it fell so its mother would have taken it back to the nest when it returned, but instead it kept wandering about. Proverbs 14:12 "There is a way that seems right to man, but in the end it leads to death."

   Now that the eaglet was away from its mother's care, the mother could not provide any protection (covering) for it because she didn't know if it was still alive or not. Let's assume that it found a hen and the hen took it under its care, what happens? It starts behaving like a hen; even though it was an eaglet... its mind had become corrupt... You know, in every born again is planted a seed of the mind of Christ which eventually makes us like Christ when it fully germinates.
 1 Cor 2:16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord that He may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ."

 Just like in Physics, the force acting between two bodies in a field (gravitational/electrical) decrease (never to zero) with increasing distance so is it with the mind of Christ. As one moves farther away from the church one acts contrary to the will of God or less Christ-like, because the measure of the mind of Christ in one is decreasing (though never to zero like the force fore-mentioned). As one continues walking in the world and enjoying its sinful pleasures...

 Galatians 5:19-21 "19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

... God loses interest in the person's life because he is living contrary to God's will for his life. While God gives everyone sufficient opportunity to repent, He will not tolerate sin forever. And a time will come when God's grace will be withdrawn and the unrepentant will be punished without mercy.  Just like Jesus condemned/cursed the tree which had no fruits, He will condemn the fruitless.
Matt 21:19 " And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, "Let no fruit grow on you ever again." Immediately the fig tree withered away.

 That little remnant of the seed is man's conscience. Like I said before, the mind of Christ never diminishes to zero, this happens for 2 reasons:
1.) For the rebellious;
   Matthew 13:12 "For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. So it's that little remnant in the stone-hearted/ rebellious sinner that goes back to the body of Christ, even though it's not His will towards us. This leaves the sinner no choice but to face death 'twice' (both physically and spiritually) condemning his soul to eternal loss. Romans 6:23  For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
2.) For the repentant;
 Matthew 18:14 "Even so, it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish." 1 Timothy 2:3-4 "3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."

 It's also that little remnant in the sinner that makes it possible to return to God and have his heart renewed. No matter how far we stray away from God's path, "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). The best example for this is Manasseh, "the baldest boy in the bible" as we see in;
2 Chron 33:12-13 "12 Now when he was in affliction, he implored the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,13 and prayed to Him; and He received his entreaty, heard His supplication, and brought him back to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD was God."

 If you read through the story of Manasseh, (2 Kings 21:1-18) you'll see that no matter how dark our pasts may be , God is ever ready to accept us back if we truly repent... Psalms 51:17 "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart-These, O God, You will not despise."
... and unlike the devil, God will never force Himself down our throats because in the beginning  He gave man a 'free will' and He ever keeps His promise. So the choice is up to you; Eternal loss :( ... or ETERNAL LIFE :D … the choice is yours.  2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
